About Web Application Development

NYC Web Design has a team of highly skilled professionals with in-depth experience in the latest web technologies. Our web application services help bring you intelligent software solutions to a platform-independent web browser.

Our projects encompass solutions across all industries and technologies. Our advanced work combined with unmatched customer service help us maintain a satisfied and repeat customer base.

Our Methodology

Step 1: We Learn About Your Business

We ask the necessary questions to understand your business and its unique challenges. We review competitive websites in your industry as a starting point along with specific requests you may have.

Step 2: The Design

Our designers will get right to work providing numerous amounts of custom concept designs. It's not unusual for us to share 15-20 unique custom designed concepts for your web application project. In this stage you will have the freedom to choose the concept you like most, and make unlimited revisions until you're satisfied!

Step 3: The Markup

Once your design is complete and "in final", we will begin the HTML Markup process which converts the Photoshop template into an actual website. This includes the CSS styles, the HTML development, drop down navigation menus, animated carousel sliders, and other UI functionality that your design requires.

In this stage, we'll provide a unique test URL we will provide where you can see your project being developed in real-time.

Step 4: Development & Programming

Our programmers are busy at work architecting your database, the necessary tables you will need, and methods required for your application. We will begin the integration of the "back end" if applicable with your new "front end" design.

Step 5: Testing

Once your website is complete, we'll do our best to try and break it. Our engineering team thoroughly tests the code to find and repair any problems and make sure everything is working properly.

We'll make the necessary hosting changes to move your site from development to production servers. At this time we'll discuss backup plans and offer hosting and maintenance options for you

Step 6: You're In Business!

Our work is done - for now. We hope to continue our relationship and provide your business with future enhancements, upgrades and general support type requests into the future. We take pride in our work and enjoy seeing it evolve and improve as time goes on.

What Your Clients Want Most From Your Website

In an attempt to find out what matters most to visitors, below are the top factors consumers want from your website.

76% of consumers say the most important factor in a website is "The website makes it easy for me to find what I want."

What does this mean for you?

  • You should not obsess over the visual design of your website.

  • You should focus on the usability of your website.

  • Never use flashy graphics or a lot of video.

  • Employ the 5 second rule: When you first visit your site, can you tell what it's about in the first 5 seconds?

  • Use a basic layout that is familiar to most of your visitors.

Who Are You?

Other important things to include in your website is to tout your business is unique. You should be thinking of how'd you answer the question, "Who are you?". This includes detailing your expertise, and unique attributes your business has that sets you apart from the others.

What Do You Offer?

You should be very clear and concise about what you offer to your visitors. Be sure to provide a very obvious section on your homepage with some general information about your services or products.

Contact Info

It is very important to include contact information including a phone number and physical location. We believe you build credibility and trust with the customer. A phone number, street address and even photos of your office go a long way toward building credibility.

Your Methodologies

Clear descriptions of your processes. Let customers know how to use your website, how to order, how to contact you. Don't leave them guessing or they'll browse off to your competitor's website.

Encourage feedback about your products or services. And offer clear calls to action such as "Contact Us", "Buy It Now", "Sign Up Here", and "Click here for more information". The more visible your call to actions are, the more people will click through.
